Rochester Mini Maker Faire

The Rochester Mini Maker Faire celebrates those who love to make, create, learn, play, invent, craft, hack, build, think and be inspired by science, technology, engineering, arts, music, and crafts. This year's event will be held at The Rochester Riverside Convention Center on Saturday, November 21st from 9am - 5pm.

Mini Maker Faires expose students to technology, art, science, and engineering applied to projects that are built within the greater Rochester area and beyond. At the faire, students will learn to solder, make crafts, interactive with physics experiments, and participate in other hands-on activities. We are hoping to inspire everyone who attends to go out and learn what it takes to create their own projects from what they learned and saw during the day.

The Rochester Mini Maker Faire celebrated its first event in November of 2014 with over 90 maker exhibits from across Western New York and 1,500 visitors of all ages in attendance. The day was filled with exciting exhibitions, demonstrations, and hands-on activities for all ages. In addition, there was interesting presentations, speakers, live music, and visual and performing arts. Several of the exhibits from last year included:

* Soldering workshop with an electronic badge that you could take home, * Records you could paint, a community mural, and a knitting machine, * Hands-on robotics, * Board and computer games created by Rochesterians, * A Giant Seesaw that anyone could play on, * 3D printers, CNC machines, and other leading-edge inventions and technologies, * Student projects from local schools and colleges,
