CTL's Girls Building Bridges

As part of a unit on structural engineering, the 5th and 6th grade girls will be designing and building a ten foot foot bridge for our school's nature trail. They will choose from five different bridge types after studying the strengths and weaknesses of each: suspension, cable stayed, truss, arch, or cantilever. We have timber frames already donated and will be studying bridges in the next two months.
