4-H Palouse Area Robotics Team - a Washington FIRST FRC High School Team

4-H Palouse Area Robotics Team (P.A.R.T.) is a Washington FIRST ® Robotics Team. We draw from five high schools in the Palouse area: Pullman, Moscow, Colton, Colfax, and Gar-Pal. This FIRST program combines the high energy of sports with the innovation of science and technology. Students are mentored by over a dozen, local, working professionals in the fields of product development, CAD, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, programming, computer science, business, communication arts, and marketing. It's more than just Robotics!

Every January the team begins their 6-week build season. After they have designed, built and tested their robot, they compete against other Pacific Northwest teams. Students are encouraged to become strong leaders, learn project management and all aspects of running a business. On the off-season the team is busy helping with summer robotics camps, Washington State University's Science & Engineering Day, and special programs to reach out and inspire younger students to see that science is fun. Our Statement of Purpose: 4-H P.A.R.T. SciBorgs, aka FRC Team 4061, is committed to inspiring students to pursue careers in science and technology. Although the teams build and compete with robots, our team isn't just about building robots—our mentor-based program develops professional, leadership, and communication skills, and it encourages gracious professionalism in all that we do throughout our competition season and beyond.
